Bell helicopters built the 212 in 1968 the 212 was a improved Bell 205 helicopter it was original used to move people, but during the vietnam war, it became the most powerful weapon the USA had. They mounted guns in them and missle launchers they make a very distinctive sound which you can hear them coming along way away. Most of the time they make a sound that no other helicopter makes, they have two engines like most of r/c helicopters have. The main reason why they added an extra engine was to make it very fast in the air and so it could lift more weight as it was used to carry out weapons in those days. The Bell 212 is a great moment when you get the opportunity of flying one yourself or just enjoying the flight with someone else.
The top blades and the rear blades rotate together which causes the distinct sound it always make when ever this helicopter is in the sky. If you were to say the word wop wop wop, in a very low tone with your voice that would be the sounds Bell 212 makes the moment the engines are started. This sound is always heard from "Bell212" helicopter even when its deep inside the clouds you can still hear of wop, wop, wop which will help easily identified and all the time it makes this sound. This sound from this r/c helicopter makes even more exciting when it's being lifted in the sky and most especially when it pass over your heard. You only need to put your fingers inside your ear so you dont get infection in your ear drum. This indicates the power and speed behind "Bell212" and the technology involved even though it's being existed for so many years now but better and fantastic aerobatic displays than most of the newly r/c helicopters.
This helicopter is probably the most reliable helicopter in the world that you can think of even though was mostly designed for carrying weapons. Bell 212 is a strong and easy going helicopter which is very suitable for beginners to fly. It's also affordable and available almost every time on the market. This is an aircraft with absolute qualities even though it's an old model aircraft. Hope you will be purchasing one to enjoy the wonderful feeling you can get among old model aircraft just like I am enjoying my own and fortunately ready to share my Bell212 pictures with you.
